BDA Spot Survey
Shop-Floor Bonuses: Focus on Automotive

One of our automotive sector Clients asked us in 2018 to conduct a club survey among its peer companies focusing on basic design practices in bonuses for shop-floor positions. One of the survey objectives was to show the extent to which bonuses for operators are linked with the ones for positions in logistics. The survey brings an interesting map of prevailing practices.

A total of 42 selected companies from the automotive sector from the Czech Republic was surveyed. (Survey available only in the Czech language.)

Here are some highlights:

  • 71 % of companies define target bonus as a percentage of base pay
  • 58 % of companies use team KPI´s in the bonus scheme
  • 50 % of companies define minimum threshold for bonus pay-out

This spot survey was prepared by Stanislav Hladký,
