Our annual survey provides insight into the current base salary increases in the Czech Republic in 2026. The overall results confirm the autumn forecasts. While base salary growth is gradually slowing, its pace is higher than was predicted just a few months ago, particularly in the context of current inflation.
The data were collected in May and June 2026, with participation from 241 companies operating in the Czech Republic.
Here are some highlights:
- The autumn 2026 forecast anticipated an average base salary increase of 4.1% (median 4.0%). The spring results show both the average and median at 4.0%. More detailed data also confirm that some sectors increased base salaries more than had been predicted in autumn.
- Transparent compensation and companies’ approaches to the Gender Pay Gap are increasingly reflected in the results. Organizations tend to address these disparities through guidance for managers—in fact, three-quarters (75%) of companies do not set aside separate budgets for equalizing gender pay gaps.
- Data confirms a decline in across-the-board pay increases—only 15% of companies give the same raise to everyone. Consequently, salary growth is increasingly dependent on individual employee performance and results.
